Greg Hobbs
Name: Gregory J. Hobbs, Jr.
Year Joined: 1956
Age: 68
Rank: Eagle
Troop: 67
City: Terra Linda, Marin County California

I Got Involved in Scouting Because:

At age 11, I joined the Boy Scout Troop at Elmendorf Air Force Base, Anchorage, Alaska where my father was stationed in the Air Force.

Scouting Prepared Me For Life By:

Introduced me to camping and hiking in Alaska and the Sierra Nevada Mountains of California and taught me leadership skills as a Ranger at the Philmont Scout Ranch in New Mexico where I served on staff 7 summers.

My Most Memorable Scouting Moment:

Being a member of the Flying Eagle Patrol at the 1960 Boy Scout Jamboree in Colorado Springs, Colorado, where our patrol won first place in the Physical Fitness competition.
