I Got Involved in Scouting Because:

My father was a Boy Scout in MA from 1939-45. He encourage both my brother and I to join and I signed up both my boys at age 7, now both Eagle Scouts with young families of their own.

Scouting Prepared Me For Life By:

Scouting gave me lifelong appreciation for the outdoors and nature. I learned how to backpack and camp in the wilderness and as a Junior Assisstant Scoutmaster in 1970 was with one of the first troops to work a pilot program called Project S.O.A.R.

My Most Memorable Scouting Moment:

Philmont 1970 and a 68 mile trek, Staff for the 2010 and 2013 National Scout Jamboree and National Order of the Arrow Conference 2009. Now a 40 year veteran.
