I Got Involved in Scouting Because:

I am a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and was called to be a Den Leader with our Wards Pack.

Scouting Prepared Me For Life By:

Even at age 29 and 30, Scouting has done so much for me. I don't have my own kids, yet, but its let me see what the Scouting program has to offer once I do have them. Its taught me leadership and communication skills that at age 29 I never thought I would have.

My Most Memorable Scouting Moment:

My best memory is so far of Day Camps. I know it might sound silly but the first thing I ever did with Scouts was help at a day camp cause my Ward needed helpers. I hadn't been called yet and wouldn't be for another few months. But I loved it so much that when they called me I couldn't say no. At my second Day Camp the next year I meet one of my best scouting friends today. She convinced me to go to Woodbadge even though I had only been in scouts for a few short months. We attended Wood badge together and now are Cub Scout Roundtable Commissioners. It all started with Day camp. This year I taught Archery at one and was with my boys for all five days at another one my district puts on. Plus the look on the boys face when they get to do Archery and BB guns is a look you get no where else!
