I Got Involved in Scouting Because:

How or why did you get involved in Scouting?: My older brother was a Boy Scout, and my father was on the council staff as a Deputy Chariman. I wanted to be like my brother and father!

Scouting Prepared Me For Life By:

Everythig about Scouting has had a direct influence on my successes in life. The awards and ranks were only a minor part of my preparedness. The overall Scouting experience (activities, interactions, leadership opportunities, and fun!) has been the catalyst to me striving to live by the Scout Oath and Scout Law on a daily basis.

My Most Memorable Scouting Moment:

The outdoors! I loved the freedom and self-relience of spending time in nature and the many adventures I had the opportunity to experience. There is nothing like it, and youth nowadays are missing this. I have continued my love for scouting by holding various adult leadership positions to give back as much as I can. My oldest boy finished Webelos and just recently became a Boy Scout!
