	Trainer's EDGE (NYLT Staff)

	The Trainer’s EDGE is designed to build on basic skills gained in the Trainer Development Conference (TDC) and focus on improving your platform skills as a trainer.  
 

	This is a required Train-The-Trainer course for Wood Badge and NYLT Staff members.   All trainers and facilitators, and anyone interested in training are encouraged to attend the Trainer’s EDGE course.   It is highly recommended (but not required) that you have attended the Trainer’s Development Conference and have at least some experience with training and facilitation. 
 

	Learners will have hands-on experience with presenting material in front of the group.  The group will also learn and practice how to offer effective feedback to help others improve their skills as a trainer.   Learners are assigned a 5-minute presentation during the course,  the topic will be assigned by the training team to deliver parts of the syllabus on delivery methods and use of media. 
 

	There is also a pre-assignment, each participant will prepare and bring in a 10-12 minute presentation on any topic in scouting, using media and delivery methods of your choosing.   You will be delivering this presentation at the end of the course.  The presentations are intended to allow you to practice and demonstrate the skills learned during the course while receiving constructive feedback.
