About Us

District Information

Centennial District serves primarily the area of Aurora Public Schools, the Eastern half of Cherry Creek School District, Denver Public Schools in Green Valley Ranch, and school districts along the I-70 corridor out to Deer Trail. The District currently serves about 3,250 youth.

District Committee

Our district committee is composed of various leadership positions that are anchored by the Key 4 (District Chair (Tim Ryan), District Commissioner (Russ Larson), Professional Staff (Ryan Thompson, Michael McManus)). The Key 4 is comprised of the District executive, assistants to the exec, and the District Commissioner. These wonderful leaders dedicate their service which we are all grateful for. To inquire how you may help improve Scouting in the Centennial District please correspond with one of the Key 4 members.

District Committee meetings occur the second Thursday of the month at 7:00pm. Several positions ranging from committe members for camping to financial to program are all available and applications are welcome.

Among the myriad of topics that are brought up at committee meetings each month, some of the most common are:  Training for both adults and youth, Special Needs, How the program will go forward in the coming year, finance, membership, and other questions of the day. Committee meetings are open to visit and if you are interested in joing the District Committee please see or talk to our District Executives.

Commissioner's Corner

A commissioner is defined as:

A volunteer Scouter who works with packs and troops to help Scouting units succeed. In addition to the council commissioner, there are district commissioners, Assistant District Commissioners (ADC), Roundtable Commissioners, Unit Commissioners, and William D Boyce Commissioners.

We are always looking for commissioners and specifically Unit Serving Commissioners.  If you would like to have an opportunity to help units succeed then please contact Russ Larson on how you can be trained as setup as a unit serving commissioner.

The Centennial District's Roundtable is held the first Thursday of every month at the Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (LDS) Chambers Building located at 4701 S. Chambers Road, Aurora, CO 80015 (on Chambers Rd just Southwest of Smokey Hill Road) View a map of the location. Roundtable starts at 7:30 PM for Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. Boy Scouts meets on one side of the Gym and the Cub Scouts meets on the other side Gym with a divider wall between them.

Order of the Arrow meetings are held at 7 PM is held at the same location.
