Character Education

Social Emotional Learning, or  Affective Eduation all relates to helping students become workforce ready. Students need to learn social skills so they can someday become good bosses, managers, employees. Many people ask if this should be only done at home, but the reality is students need social skills so they can be good learners too. The classroom is a perfect place to learn because the classroom is where their character is challenged. Will they choose to listen, to share, to participate? Bad behavior makes for good drama on TV, but it has no place in the classroom or in the workplace.
