Report to the State Over 150 youth delegates from the six councils in Colorado will attend the 2012 Report to the State at the State Capitol followed by a Tribute to the Boy Scouts of America, Denver Area Council's 100th Anniversary in the Senate hosted by Senator Bill Cadman. The Report to the State will be held on Friday, February 8, 2013 at 8:00 am in the Old Supreme Court room at the Colorado State Capitol. Please plan on arriving 30-45 minutes early to allow for time to get through security and sign in. Registration for the Report to the State is available online. Cost for the Report is $10 per registrant and does include a commemorative patch. Guests are limited to parents and/or guardians of the Scout as seating is limited. Please, no siblings. Each Scout needs to be in full dress uniform for this event. If the Scout lives in the Denver Area, please contact the council for assistance if needed. Guided tours of the Capitol are being offered of the building, its history, Mr. Brown's Attic or the legislature. Unfortunately, the Dome is currently under repair and unavailable for tours at this time. Each tour is 45 minutes long and limited to 30 people including chaperones. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. There is no limit to the number of tours you may schedule, however please remember that a Scout is Courteous and that if you schedule more than two, someone may go without. In addition, please remember that this is a working facility and Scouts will be asked to obey the Scout Oath and Scout Law. This is a popular event and early registration is recommended. Please plan accordingly as there will be no refunds. Parents, please, do not drop your Scout off at the Capitol. While every parent need not attend, we do ask that Scouts be supervised. This event is open to Scouts of all ages in the State of Colorado. Tour the New Judicial Building with Justice Hobbs Justice Hobbs has graciously extended an invitation to take all interested Scouts attending the Report to the State on a tour of the new Judicial Building. Justice Hobbs will be recognized as an Outstanding Eagle Scout at the Denver Area Council's Annual Meeting. Tour will be at 10:00 am and will be available for registration immediately.
