2014 Gateway District Pinewood Derby

Race Results

The 2014 Gateway District Pinewood Derby was a huge success! Thank you to all Scouts and Scouters who came out for race day. Did you attend the 2014 Pinewood Derby? Please take a few moments to fill out this survey to give us feedback on the races, so we can make improvements for next year.

Car Check-In

When: Saturday, April 5th 2014 (11:00 am – Noon)
Where: Bethlehem Lutheran Church (2100 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214)
Who: Top 3 cars from each pack in Racing and Best of Show divisions - 6 cars maximum per pack; each car may enter in only one division

Rules: Racing and judging will be governed by “2014 Pinewood Derby Rules - Gateway District Competition” (no exceptions, please review rules carefully)

Additional Info: To speed up check-in, please arrive with cars ready to compete. A single Pack representative should check-in cars for entire Pack. Check-ins by individual participants is strongly discouraged.

Racing / Judging

When: Saturday, April 5th, 2014 (Noon – 3:00 pm)
Where: Bethlehem Lutheran Church (2100 Wadsworth Blvd, Lakewood, CO 80214)
Divisions: Two divisions - Racing and Best of Show
Awards: Awards for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places for each division. The size of awards will be based upon number of registrants. Individual awards will also be provided to all participants.
Race Format: 4-lane, 42 ft. “Best Track” aluminum track with computerized timing; 4 races per car; lowest average time wins (slowest time thrown out); Show Format: Independent judging for Best of Show

Registration

Cost: $40.00 per pack
Pre-registration: Pre-registration is required and may be done online at www.denverboyscouts.org. Please feel free to e-mail Mike Wasserburger with any questions or concerns.

Participants: All entries must have participated in their pack’s current Pinewood Derby. Webelos Scouts that have graduated into Boy Scouting after the pack race are eligible to participate. Food and beverages will be available for sale.
