Report to the State
Over 150 youth delegates from the five councils in Colorado will attend the 2015 Report to the State at the State Capitol followed by the presentation of colors in the Senate Chambers hosted by Senator Bill Cadman.
The Report to the State will be held on Friday, February 13, 2015 at 7:30 am in the Old Supreme Court room at the Colorado State Capitol. Please plan on arriving 15 minutes early to allow for time to get through security and sign in. Registration for the Report to the State is available online.
Cost for the Report is $15 per registrant and does include a commemorative patch. Parents and siblings are welcome; all must register and pay $15 each.
Each Scout needs to be in full dress uniform for this event. If the Scout lives in the Denver Area, please contact the council for assistance if needed.
Guided tours of the Capitol are being offered of the building, its history, Mr. Brown's Attic, the newly refurbished Dome, and the legislature. Each tour is 2 hours 45 minutes long (including lunch) and limited to 30 people including chaperones. Please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time. Tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis. Please remember that this is a working facility and Scouts will be asked to obey the Scout Oath and Scout Law.
This is a popular event and early registration is recommended. Please plan accordingly as there will be no refunds. If for some reason you are unable to attend after registration, please contact Tiffany at 720.266.2165 as this will allow someone else to attend in your place.
Parents, please, do not drop your Scout off at the Capitol. While every parent need not attend, we do ask that Scouts be supervised.
This event is open to Scouts of all ages in the State of Colorado.

There are protocols for Capitol Security. In addition, in this document, there are also documents provided.
Tour the New Judicial Building with Justice Hobbs
Justice Hobbs has graciously extended an invitation to take all interested Scouts attending the Report to the State on a tour of the new Judicial Building. Justice Greg Hobbs, a member of the Colorado Supreme Court, will conduct a one-hour tour of the Colorado Supreme Court and its Learning Center, emphasizing the role of the Judicial branch of government compared to the Legislative and Executive branches. Come learn what the courts do for citizenship in the community, the state, and the nation! Don't miss out!
Tours will be at 11 am to 12 pm (report for State Patrol screening at 10:45 am) for Scouts that do not wish to attend the Capitol Tour and 1:30 pm to 2:30 pm (report for State Patrol screening at 1:15 pm) for Scouts that would like to attend both tours (Capitol and Judicial Building Tour) and will be available for registration immediately.
