Report to the State
Over 150 youth delegates from the five councils in Colorado will attend the 2016 Report to the State at the State Capitol followed by the presentation of colors in the Senate Chambers hosted by Senator Bill Cadman.
The Report to the State will be held on Tuesday, March 8, 2016 at 8:00am in the Old Supreme Court room at the Colorado State Capitol. Please plan to arrive 20 minutes early in order to allow enough time to get through security and sign in.
Cost for the Report is $15 per registrant and does include a commemorative patch. Parents and siblings are welcome; all must register and pay $15 each. Each Scout needs to be in full dress uniform for this event. If the Scout lives in the Denver Area, please contact the council for assistance if needed.
Guided tours of the Capitol are being offered of the building, its history, Mr. Brown's Attic, the newly refurbished Dome, and the legislature. The Capitol Tours will start from 11:45am - 2:00pm, please arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled tour time, lunch is included. Tours are limited to 30 people per group including chaperones. Tours are scheduled on a first come, first served basis.
This is a popular event and early registration is recommended. Please plan accordingly as there will be no refunds. If for some reason you are unable to attend after registration, please contact Cindy at 720.266.2148 as this will allow someone else to attend in your place.
Parents, please, do not drop your Scout off at the Capitol. While every parent need not attend, we do ask that Scouts be supervised.
This event is open to Scouts of all ages in the State of Colorado - please remember that this is a working facility and Scouts will be asked to obey the Scout Oath and Scout Law.

Tour the Colorado Judicial Learning Center at the Ralph L. Carr Building
The Colorado Judicial Learning Center is an innovative and engaging learning environment designed to inspire visitors, young and old, to achieve a better understanding of the laws and freedoms that govern our citizens, states and country. The 4,000 quare foot Learning Center provides a fun and interactive educational experience for young people and adults to build awareness, understanding, and appreciation for the rule of law and the role of the Judicial Branch in our Society. The Learning Center is an interactive educational space that is meant to be experienced. Visitors to the learning Center can observe, hear, read, and touch their way through the facilities while enjoying such exhibits as; Intro Film, a fast-paced, fun-filled introductory film which uses pop cultures movie clips, animation, 3D graphics. Assembling the Rule of Law is an artful three-level game for visitors to visualize and increase their understanding of the Rule of Law by connecting the correct pricinples together.
Tours at the Colorado Judicial Learning Center are limited to 90 individuals and will begin at 9:30am - 11:00am (please allow 15 minutes for walking and security time) - you are welcome stay and listen to a live legislative session in the House or Senate if you do not attend the Judicial Learning Center Tour.
