Jefferson County Trail Days

Build trails nad better parks! Our remaining 2012 Trails Days are on the following Saturdays:

• September 15

Jefferson County Open Space seeks volunteers for our Trail Day on Saturday (9/15) from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at North Table Mountain Park. Free lunch, T-shirts & the feeling of accomplishment that comes with building & grooming trails. To register http://jeffco.us/openspace/openspace_T56_R126.htm

You can also participate in a
Mini Crew event after working hours on the third Thursday of each month from May to September.

Requirements:
Trail Days volunteers must register at least 2 days in advance. Volunteers should be in good physical condition and able to use a variety of tools (shovels, picks, rakes, etc.). Volunteers under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

What to bring and wear:
• Hiking or work boots that go over the ankle; no tennis shoes or sandals.
• Long pants.
• Work gloves.
• Plenty of water (2 quarts minimum).
• Rain-gear.
• Sunscreen and insect repellent recommended.
• Toilet paper recommended.
• A day pack to hold your stuff.
