Ceremonies/Inductions

Summer is coming, which means we have new candidates to induct into the Order and Ordeal members to cross over to Brotherhood. Come help your chapter improve your ceremonial clothes – no knowledge needed, we will have trainers to show how to do all work. We will be evaluating chapter ceremonies clothes, learning beading, and doing ceremonies character development and lines for the upcoming Cony Party season – bring your ceremony clothes and your Chapter’s ceremony clothes

Dance Team

For those of you with an interest in American Indian dance, we will have dance sessions and instruction at the lock-in.

2 Great Events Back to Back

We start out with the Lock-in Friday 3/22 @ 7pm to Saturday 3/23 @ 9am then we travel to the Denver March Powwow for the day. Pickup is no later than 5pm at the Denver Coliseum (earlier departure is ok)

OA Lock-in

Lock-in Location: Arvada Church of Christ, 6757 Simms Street, Arvada,CO 80004
Starts at 7pm on Friday 3/22 at the church and lasts until 9am on Saturday.
Eat dinner before coming. There will be a $5 fee which includes cracker barrel on Friday night and Saturday breakfast. Please bring anything you may need for the night i.e. sleeping bags, pillows.  We will be wearing street clothes to the Pow Wow, not uniforms, so uniforms are not required. If you aren't going to Powwow, you must be picked up by 9am Saturday

Denver March Powwow

All are invited – great chance to see how the Indians look and get ideas for ceremony clothes as well as dance clothes and styles. We will be going to the Denver March Powwow at the Denver Coliseum. Powwow entrance fee is $10. You will also need to bring money for Saturday lunch and snacks at the Powwow. There are also many booths that sell things. For those going from the lock-in to the powwow, we will have cars to take you; all overnight gear will be stored in the cars until you get picked up. Pick-up at the Coliseum is 5pm
