Triskaidekaphobia (from Greek: tris meaning “3”, kai meaning "and", deka meaning "10" and phobos meaning "fear" or "morbid fear") is the fear of the number 13 and avoidance to use the number 13. It is a superstition. But this is 2013 (there’s that number again, 365 times) and everyone knows triskaidekaphobia is just a silly superstition. There’s nothing to be afraid of, right? Or is there?
Please join your hosts, Troop 113 and Crew 113 (there’s that number again) as the 2013 Fall Camporee explores some common superstitions and relates them to Scouting. Your hosts will provide a fun and exciting schedule of activities for Scouts of all ages to enjoy. You will learn about some common superstitions, conquer your fears and have a GREAT time.
Please join us September 20-22, 2013 for an educational and fun filled weekend at Camp Cris Dobbins at Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch.
Cost for this event is, of course, $13 per Scout. After September 7, 2013 the cost will be $15.00 with your paid registration. For Webelos registered before September 7, the cost will be $10 with your paid registration. After September 7, 2013, the cost for Webelos will be $12. Walk-in costs will be $16 per Scout and $13 per Webelos. Registrations made after September 7 cannot be guaranteed a patch.
Folks! Please plan accordingly as there will be no refunds.
