Project Phoenix - Help Rebuild a Scout Camp
Calling all Troops, Teams, Crews, and OA Arrowman:
October 18th to October 20th service project / campout at the Spanish Peaks Scout Ranch - Walsenberg CO. The camp was almost entirely destroyed by wildfires.
This is an opportunity to give back to our neighboring scouts to the South! You will meet and work with Scouts and Scouters from other councils in a demonstration of support and scouting spirit.

There will be no cost to attend and meals will be provided.
Each participant needs a garden rake and/or shovel, work gloves and heavy hiking boots.
Due to the terrain and the nature of the work PLEASE don't wear tennis shoes.
Bring a tent and sleeping gear and day pack with10 essentials.
Every participant needs to have a copy of their BSA Medical Form (less than 72 Hrs so Part A + B only)
If you have a copy of your 2013 summercamp med form that is fine.
About 3 Hours as it is 177 miles from 6th Avenue and I-25
157 of the Mileage is on I-25 to the Walsenberg Exit.
Mandatory Safety Meeting is Saturday morning at 8AM so Friday evening arrival is best!
