2013 University of Scouting

Take your training into the next Century of Scouting! The University of Scouting is coming on October 26, 2013 and you should plan on attending.

The University of Scouting is a Scout leader’s learning adventure! It is an action packed, fun filled day of supplemental training where you choose the sessions that you want to take. Sessions are led by experienced volunteers who will help you enhance your ability to deliver a fun and exciting program to the Scouts.

Class sessions are designed to help leaders improve their skills and increase their knowledge about Cub Scouting, Boy Scouting, Venturing and Commissioner Service. We expect to have over 100 different class offerings, ranging from BALOO training, Den Leader skills, Den Chief classes, Journey to Excellence, Chaplain's Aide, Scoutmaster conferences, Merit Badge Counselor classes, and much, much more!

The University of Scouting is a single day packed with a year’s worth of program ideas, and information. In addition, you’ll have the opportunity to meet and share ideas with Scouters from across the Denver Area Council. Registration and Continental Breakfast will begin at 7:00 AM, sessions start at 8am, and will be wrapping up by 4pm. 

Day Care will be provided at the cost of $5.00per child for the day. Your child must be at least 3 years old and potty trained. If you have children in Day Care, you must download the attached form and complete for each child attending. Please make sure that you have it completed when you arrive at the Day Care. Please provide a lunch and snacks for your child

Courses will be offered across 8 class periods. You have the opportunity to build your own schedule. Please select all of your applicable classes by using the same drop down button below BEFORE clicking "Continue" to move forward with your registration process. All persons registering for classes and paying the registration fee will receive a lunch ticket at check in. We are not making you select a lunch period. Lunch will be served from 10:45 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. so grab a quick bite and take 8 hours of classes, or don't register for a class in Period 4 or 5 and have a relaxing lunch. Don't forget the Midway from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Note: If you are attending the Advanced Cooking session in Periods 3 and 4, you will cook your own lunch as part of that class.

IMPORTANT!! After registering, please follow linkds to access and print your "Training Admission Ticket" as it will be you ticket for quick entry the day of the event.

If you are a Chartered Organization Representative, there is no charge for the training from 1:00 PM-2:50 PM.  Please register here: CRO Registration Only
