The Boy Scouts of America (BSA), Denver Area Council announces that Denver Broncos Quarterback Peyton Manning will be the guest speaker for its 38th Annual Sports Breakfast presented by US Bank on April 16, 2014 at the Pepsi Center from 7AM to 9AM. The Annual Sports Breakfast is Denver’s Premier Business and Sports Networking event with over 1,000 attendees including local business leaders and sports personalities.
Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning, the league’s only four-time MVP and a 12-time Pro Bowl selection, has earned his place among the NFL’s greatest quarterbacks and stands alone as the active leader in nearly every statistical passing category. Since entering the NFL in 1998, joining the Indianapolis Colts as the first overall draft pick, Manning has been named to the Associated Press NFL All-Pro First Team numerous times.
He owns the second-most wins, passing touchdowns, completions and attempts by a quarterback in NFL history, while ranking third in career passing yards. In his first year with the Broncos in 2012—Manning finished as the Associated Press NFL Comeback Player of the Year and runner-up for the league’s MVP after leading Denver to its second consecutive division title and the AFC’s No. 1 seed.
During his first 14 NFL seasons with Indianapolis, he set club records in nearly every career passing mark and led the franchise to its first World Championship in 36 years, earning MVP honors in the Colts’ 29-17 win over the Chicago Bears in Super Bowl XLI.
