Venturing Officers Association Is Looking for Youth to Lead.

The Venturing Officer's Association, or VOA, is a group of youth officers at Council level. We are looking for youth to lead the VOA.

One of the VOA's purpose is to help council Venturing Advisors and professionals to get the perspective of the youth in the council. It allows the youth to develop leadership skills and gives the VOA Advisor and council professionals a resource to build the council's Venturing Program. Previous or current leadership in a Venturing Crew or Sea Scout Ship is not required.

In the DAC, there are four VOA officer positions:

  1. VOA President
  2. VOA Vice President of Program
  3. VOA Vice President of Administration
  4. VOA Vice President of Communications (also known as secretary)

If you are interested in serving as a VOA Officer, you'll need to complete the Denver Area Council Venturing Officers Association Application. Send completed applications to: Josh Atherton, Team Leader, 10455 West 6th Avenue, Suite 100, Denver, CO 80215 or you can e-mail to Josh Atherton.

Contact Scott Elzas if you have any questions about the Venturing Officer's Association.
