Forget everything you thought you knew about the X-Games!

X-Games 2010 is brand new, revised, revamped and challenging.  You think you know X-Games?  Think again.  Come out this year to brand new activities and event based competitions.

This event is open to all registered Venturers and Sea Scouts.  Our friends in neighboring Councils are encouraged to join us for this event... we even promise to give you a fair shot at the traveling trophy again this year.  And, yes, our District Executive will indeed deliver the trophy to whichever Crew wins it, regardless of which Council they are from.  Hint to Denver Area Council Crews - please come and defend the honor of the Denver Area Council!

IMPORTANT NOTE:  You will need to bring your GPS along as you will be navigating throughout Peaceful Valley Scout Ranch all night on Friday.  You won't have a lot of points to find this year, but there will be events to participate in at each stop throughout the night.

General Schedule:

Arrive Friday evening between 6-8pm to check in and set up.  Hike through the night and participate in events from the time you arrive until Saturday afternoon.  The race will conclude and awards will be presented.  Sleep at Peaceful Valley Saturday night (Departure on Saturday night permitted under prearranged conditions to allow for members to meet Sunday committments); return home Sunday.

Items to bring:  Swim suit and towel, day pack, full rain gear, headlamps or flashlights, extra batteries, small first aid kit (1 per team), hiking boots, wool hat and warm clothing, tent and sleeping bag, mountain bike for each member, 1 GPS unit per team (NOTE: there are some GPS units and bikes available at camp, but not enough for everyone), and evidence that each member of your team is a BSA blue level swimmer.

For additional information or to volunteer to help at the event, please contact Mark Risner or Laura Soots.
