Alert: Camp Card Drawing scheduled for Friday, April 18th has been rescheduled for Monday, April 21st due to the Hamilton Scout Office being closed tomorrow in observance of Good Friday. How the Camp Card Sale Works

  • The Camp Card is designed to help units fund their way to 2014 camp programs
  • This is a risk-free, product sales project where all Scouts can earn their way to camp, Philmont, or other activities or simply support unit programs or supply needs
  • Each Camp Card will sell for only $5.00 to the general public and will have multiple food, service and entertainment discounts for the consumer to use throughout the year
  • The participating unit will keep up to 50% commission from the sale of each Camp Card
  • Commissions from the sales are encouraged to be applied toward directly sending youth to summer camp programs, however they may be used as the unit committee sees fit

The Value of Selling Camp Cards

Participating in the Camp Card sale allows each Scout to directly fund their way to various camp programs.

Program Cost Sales per Youth (in Cards)*
Cub Scout Day/Twilight Camp $75 30 Cards per youth to sell
Magness Adventure Camp $110 44 Cards per youth to sell
Alpine Adventure $320 128 Cards per youth to sell
National High Adventure Bases $800 320 Cards per youth to sell
Dobbins, Dietler, Eagle Point $275 110 Cards per youth to sell

*Note - Program costs and sales per youth are not necessarily actual numbers; they are close approximations.

Unit Sales Incentives

  • Sell Camp Cards and settle your account by May 23 with one check from the unit
    • Receive a 20% commission ($1.00) for every Camp Card sold
  • Participate in the 2014 Scout Show by hosting a unit both
    • Receive a 20% commission ($1.00) for every Camp Card sold
  • Attend Council Camp Card Kickoff (can be any representative of the unit)
    • Receive a 10% commission ($.50) for every Camp Card sold
  • Total possible commission
    • 50% or $2.50 per Card

Youth Sales Incentives

Walmart Gift Cards

  • Sell 25 Camp Cards and the Scout will be eligible to win 1 of 2 $50 Walmart Gift Cards
  • There will be 6 drawings for (2) $50 Walmart Gift Cards held every other Friday throughout the sale period
  • Fax or scan the Camp Card Contest Verification Form to Scout Headquarters
  • Scouts can enter 1 time for every 25 cards sold. They are eligible only for the week they submit their form(s)

Top Seller Campership Grand Prize

Top Seller in each district will earn a Scout Campership to any Denver Area Council summer resident camp (Tahosa/Peaceful Valley/Magness - Value of $275 each)

  • Scout Campership may be used in the 2014 or 2015 summer camp season
  • If Scout has paid for Denver Area Council summer camp prior to announcement, a full refund may be requested. Please contact Camp Card Staff Advisor, Josh Atherton at 720.266.2160

To be entered into the weekly drawings, fax your forms to 303.433.9978, Denver Area Council, Attn: JoLynne Conrad or scan and email to JoLynne. You only need to send 1 for each 25 cards sold.
