Journey To Excellence

"Journey to Excellence” is the BSA’s new performance recognition program designed to encourage and reward success and measure the performance of units, districts, and councils. It is replacing the Centennial Quality Awards Program as a means of encouraging excellence in providing a quality program at all levels of the BSA.

The program runs on a calendar year (January 1st – December 31st) and units will turn in their scorecards as directed by the Council. There are different scorecards for each unit type and units score points in numerous categories.

Report Service Hours for Journey to Excellence

To reach JTE "Gold" status for Journey to Excellence, Cub Scout Packs and Sea Scout Ships must report four service projects each year. Boy Scout Troops, Varsity Teams and Venturing Crews must report six service projects each year.
