Youth Protection Training

To ensure the safety of every young person in Scouting, every registered adult is required to complete "Youth Protection Training" (YPT) . If you have recently completed YPT, please submit a copy of your YPT card to Council Offices as soon as possible. If you have not completed a course within the past two years – please take immediate action to become Youth Protection certified through one of the following three methods:

Online (20 – 30 minutes)

  1. www.myscouting.org
  2. ‘Sign in to MyScouting’ or ‘Create an Account’
  3. Click on E-learning
  4. Take ‘Youth Protection Training’
  5. Record of your completion of training will be automatically sent to Denver Area Council.

At Gateway District Roundtable

From time to time Youth Protection Training is offered at Roundtable meetings. Watch this space for more information about this training opportunity in the next few months.

The Mission of the Boys Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling within them the values of the Scout Oath and Scout Law. Thank you for all you give on their behalf.

Prepared. For Life.
